Sierra Nevada Onding
SNO was born in Lake Tahoe and built around family, mountain life, and that feeling you can’t quite explain—but you know it when you feel it.
After more than 15 years of calling Tahoe home, we wanted to create something that reflected the life we love—raising a family in the mountains, chasing powder days, spending weekends outdoors, and building something meaningful together.
SNO is proudly family-owned and operated. What started as an idea around our kitchen table has grown into a brand inspired by the places, people, and experiences that make Lake Tahoe so special.
So what is Onding?
Onding is an old Scottish word meaning a heavy fall or continuous outpouring of rain or snow.
To us, it represents the storms, snowfall, and mountain energy that define life in the Sierra Nevada. It’s the excitement of a winter storm in the forecast, fresh tracks on a powder morning, and the ever-changing seasons that keep us connected to the outdoors.
Onding is more than weather—it's a reminder to embrace adventure, appreciate nature, and make the most of every season. It's the feeling that keeps drawing us back outside, whether we're skiing, hiking, boating, paddling, exploring, or simply soaking in the view.
We design SNO for life on and off the mountain—pieces you'll actually live in. School drop-offs in snow boots. Coffee runs through town. Powder mornings in winter and boat days in summer. Beach afternoons, paddleboard adventures, sunset cruises, and campfires by the lake. Après with friends. Cozy nights after long days outside. Elevated, comfortable, and built for the Tahoe lifestyle.
We keep it intentional:
